Art supply list will be offered at registration if needed.
During this series of classes students will be drawing or painting, or both.
Using still life study, as well as students subject choice.
Instruction will be based on experience and skill level of individual students.
*After School Painting and Drawing with "Creative Process"
Creative Process:
- Offers creative adventure and process
- Encourages spontaneous self-expression
- Respects each child's individual needs
- Removes the pressure of performing
The studio offers a safe context free of comparison or criticism.
Children learn to trust, express the richness of their world, and respond to
the "Silly Monkey Critic."
The basic principles of our work offers:
- Creativity as play, adventure and self-expression
- Intuition and spontaneity as the fuel and fire of creation
- Creativity as a tool to enhance children's lives
- ~Ongoing for ages 9 to senior in H.S. ~varied age appropriate projects using Creative Process or we can help with your own projects or art homework.
Every student completing a project with us will be invited to exhibit their work in the Summer Student Art Exhibition.

Using a pre-printed worksheet students will learn color mixing,
painting, shading, blending, white highlights and retouching. Several
styles of illumination spanning
12 -16th century will be covered
including diaper patterns, acanthus leaf, and white vine.see

Intuitive Painting: Self Discovery
"Getting Back to Your Creative Self"
During this workshop will liberate
the participants from
conventional concepts of art making, and offer an opportunity to
begin to fully
trust their own innate ability to find joy, connection and
release through the creative process. You will discover what keeps
you disconnected to your intuitive source of creativity. A fun and
rewarding experience for teens and adults, artists and
non-artists alike.
This is a wonderful workshop for couples or teens and parents.

Prayer Bead Workshop
For thousands of years,
across every continent,
our ancestors have been making beads, and stringing
them together for meditative purposes.
Commonly known as Mala, Rosery, Zulu Beads,
and many other such affections, they are believed
to have the power to carry prayer and intention.
As you meditate on the intended purpose for your
beadwork, every bead on you string will become enchanted with
the intention of it’s creator, You.
Learn about the history of this beautiful craft.
Make your own personal string of prayer beads with a variety of glass, wood, and real gemstone
beads,
as you relax, meditate, or sit in prayer.
This will be a gift to yourself
or for another in need of your prayers.
Laughter and sharing is also encouraged.
